One of the best episodes for sure! 🌹🌹 the only thing I can’t give it is in a vacuum, if you haven’t watched anything up to this point, you are missing good context if you are watching the show for the first time. I have to reserve a 🌹 for it isn’t an episode that relates what the show is normally about. The production as a whole is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Having the ability to control your fate can't be considered turning evil, money and power allow you to do that, it's what you do with that power, that defines what you are. Lex understood that depending on others for what he cares about most will make him weak and prevent him from being able to protect himself and those he loves,.......I can't fault him on that

Lexmas is one of the best episodes of Smallville. We get to see this much more vulnerable side of Lex and I wasn't expecting that. Santa story is very sweet and I love that Clark is Metropolis Santa :)

Erica has been fully topless (maybe entirely nude) before Smallville on a movie: House of the Dead, why would she be more nervous/uncomfortable doing bikini stuff?

Really wanting Lex to go to the good side but seeing him go to the dark side was tough to watch. Great episode.

My absolute favorite episode and Rosey´s number 1 performance. As Welling said, they all brought their A-game, but Rosey crushed it!

20:30 Michael performance in the alternate and the cast in special holiday gave him praise and proud the vulnerable side🙂‍↕️just felt tragic Michael proved his emotion and when going thru losing her became a less fortunate too accept and when cut woke up back to the hospital back to his dark lex self just sad💔

Thematically, it seems like Lex, the Prince, is faced with a choice from the Machiavellian trio of choices, being loved, hated or feared. Lex is living out the being hated option in the real time line where he is attacked. No one bets on him and his father rejects him. Lex imagines his mother as a presence because he has no one. The coma dream shows Lex what the option to be loved would be like. Lex would finally have the respect and support that he as a person craves. However, when Lana is in danger, Lex realizes that he has no power to save her regardless of being loved. The Kents admiring him is a kind of trap for him; he is expected to stay good, thus, deserving of their love and is always risking disappointing them. When Lex wakes up, He chooses to be feared as his choice. This works because it is his character arc but also because Lex cannot accomplish what he wants by being hated or loved. Loved the episode.

I think Lois was the one who died in the alternate timeline since she was MIA Also in the next episode, she almost dies but due to certain time travel antics (which could've been avoided if Lex changed his ways), Clark is there instead of with Lana.

I'm usually not big on Holiday episodes (except for Halloween ones) but I love Lexmas it's definitely one of the best episodes

I remember skipping this episode after the first few minutes - christmas theme and a dream alternate reality = skip for me... But after watching your breakdown I'll give it a chance the next time I watch the series.

I think that although Lex didn't have the support and encouragement to be someone better, he did have choices. We can say "If Clark had been honest" however Lex was also not as honest. His choices kept leading him down that path. He learned early on by the people around him (mostly his dad) that power meant the difference of life and Death. Clark was another way to assume power and I think he was bothered that Clark seemed to choose the best choices. That's just might opinion though.

I waals really waiting for a Thanksgiving or Christmas episode and behold this was shown. It was probably one of the best episode very diff from the rest.

Lex says at the end that money and power can secure everything else. So yeah I think he sees money and power as a way to make sure Lana doesn't die like she did in the dream. Also I've sometimes wondered how the whole issue with someone having to die for Clark made sense because both Lana and Jonathan are still alive in Lex's dream. In Lexmas Lois is not in the episode at all and in Reckoning there's a scene where Lois almost died by electrocution but Clark saved her. Lana and Jonathan were also both at risk of dying as you see in the episode. So I think that if Lex had made a different choice then both Lana and Jonathan would still be alive and Lois would have been the one who had to die for Clark. And as you can see in Lex's dream, in that conversation Lex has with Clark, Clark says that maybe he never will be ready to love. So I think that implies that in Lex's good future, Lana ended up with Lex, Jonathan lived, and Lois died so Clark ended up alone having never developed a relationship with her.

I recently visited universe 37. Michael Rosenbaum is married there. You'd all be petrified to know that his wife is Sarah Michelle Gellar. But that is Michael 27's ideal life. I know Ryan had a crush on her, but I'm unaware of Michael's feelings. Oh, speaking of Ryan, I caught him scoping out Ariana Grande since her divorce.

By choosing to avoid the pain Lex chose to have no joy.

all the talk about feeling like it's not possible for me to ever get what I want and nothing will ever work out and feeling destined to be alone really resonated with me because that's exactly how I feel. Made me take a step back and realize I'm not happy in my own life because I'm holding myself back

"it is great, it was a great episode; I have to say. I was touched......" I don't need to know your fantasy, Michael. This episode was really good but it wasn't great. It's a throwaway episode. Nothing that happens in the episode means anything. Season 7 has a young Lex as a gemini cricket character and it's as though this episode never happened. All of a sudden Lex has another "final turning point" in the show. It's a 2 Rose episode. You only like it because it's Lex-centric.

Been waiting for this one. This episode always stuck with me. Even when I first watched it as a 10 year old.

I still remember the WB announcing the Lexmas Christmas episode as an upcoming episode and it was cool to see Lex as a normal civilian and not some boy billionaire.
